An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that RNCan intends to award a contract for services to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities.

The department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to process data from terrestrial or drone LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors, as well as the development of predictive statistical models to explain the relationships between attributes extracted from LiDAR data and variables related to the wood quality for trees and forest plots.

The contract period will be from September 20, 2018 to March 31, 2019, with two (2) options of one (1) additional year.
