DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCUREMENT:

Scope of Work

.1 Works under this contract covers pathway rehabilitation along wetland area. This

contract includes construction work, erosion control methods, planting and grading.

To mitigate negative environmental effects on the terrestrial environment,

equipment used at site for project construction should be limited to those with

rubber tires (not tracks). Sedentary wildlife remaining at the site during

construction should be humanely trapped and relocated; this may require

permits and written permission by NCC Representative.

The work of this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Raising of the level of the existing path above the spring flood line of wetland;

2. Modification of path levels from parking to main path through wetland;

3. Earth Excavation and hauling off site;

4. Removal of exposed geotextile;

5. Demolition of existing three (3) culverts in wooded area;

6. Supply and installation of new geotextile;

7. Supply and installation of backfill and Granular ‘A’;

8. Supply and installation of asphalt;

9. Protection of existing vegetation during demolition phase as well as

construction phase;

10. Closure and re-naturalization of a bicycle and pedestrian path section;

11. Building new staircase between existing tree line;

12. Grading and drainage works;

13. Construction of weeping tiles near junction of parking access and path;

14. Partial planting of blocked paths;

15. Supply and Installation of wood logs and large rocks to block paths;

16. Relocation and installation of existing bike sign;

17. Contaminated soil conditions;

18. Supply and installation of topsoil and finish grading and compost tilling;

19. Supply and installation of plant material and cedar mulch;

20. 2 year plant material warranty;

21. Planting;

22. Repair of the area under tree line
