Media and Presentation Coaching Services

OSFI Executives and employees are, from time to time, solicited to respond to media inquiries and/or deliver presentations in their areas of expertise (including but not limited to: reinsurance, mortgage insurance, OSFI supervisory and capital frameworks, and Basel III implementation). The OSFI Communications and Consultations Division requires a Contractor to deliver media and presentation coaching to OSFI executives and employees on an as-needed basis.

The outcome of the coaching sessions will be to upgrade and sharpen OSFI employees’ media and/or presentation skills so they can deliver messages in comfort and with confidence.

The Contractor must develop and carry out full and/or half-day (timeframes to be decided by the Project Authority) customized media and presentations coaching sessions in English and French at OSFI Ottawa and Toronto offices (coaching may also occur at OSFI’s Montreal and Vancouver offices).

The OSFI Communications and Consultations Division will coordinate the coaching sessions to be developed and delivered by the Contractor. The coaching sessions must be customized to each participant’s needs. They must also include theoretical principles about dealing with the media and/or delivering a presentation (the importance of meeting deadlines, definitions of key terms such as "sound bites", how to stay on message, control pace and tone, project confidence, and poise through verbal and non-verbal communications).

The OSFI Communications and Consultation Division will provide media interview or presentation material to the Contractor to assist in the preparation of the coaching sessions.
