    SCOPE OF WORK / DELIVERABLES:

    Background

    The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) requires the installation of a new Aid to Navigation (ATON) tower at the site known as LL123 – Lancaster Front Range (D50) to ensure that all necessary Short Range Aid to Navigation (SRAN) equipment can be safely accessed and maintained. Existing tower has historical significance and is to be maintained in its present condition. Intent is to construct the new tower in the area currently occupied by the concrete helipad which is surplus to (CCG) requirements. The new tower has been fabricated by others in anticipation of construction and will be provided to the Contractor at the CCG Designated Staging Location.

    Description of Work

    Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour, materials, and equipment required to:

    1. Mobilize to the site;
    2. Design and construct a foundation of suitable structural capacity to support the intended loads of the ATON utilizing provided geotechnical information;
      • Bidders may assume a reinforced concrete foundation of approximately 3.0x3.0x0.9m
    3. Transport the ATON from the CCG DSL to the site; and,
    4. Install the ATON upon the completed foundation.

    The following works are to be undertaken by others and are hereby excluded from the work of this contract.

    1. Fabrication of the new tower;
    2. Application of marine coating system;
    3. Supply and installation of all SRAN equipment; and,
    4. Removal of the existing ATON.
