    TITLE: Snow Transportation—Québec Base (Queen's Wharf)

    TRADE AGREEMENTS:

    The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

    DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT:

    The wharf is used for Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Coast Guard operations. Snow dumping is not permitted, so the snow on the wharf must be removed by truck.

    Transport snow to rapidly clear the parking lot and work areas so employees can circulate freely and operations on the wharf can take place.

    PERIOD OF THE CONTRACT

    The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to October 31, 2019 inclusive.

    The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.

    Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor at least 15 calendar days before the expiry date of the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.

    ENQUIRIES – BID SOLICITATION

    All enquiries must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority no later than SEVEN (7) calendar days before the bid closing date. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.
