Delivery of visitor and household maintenance services at the Marine Environment Discovery Centre, Saguenay-Saint-Laurent Field Unit, Parks Canada

Description of Work:

The work covered by this contract includes the following:

• The Contractor will deliver visitor services in both official languages at the Marine Environment Discovery Centre, Escoumins QC.
• They will ensure the housekeeping of the buildings and of certain elements on the site, including the inside of the entrance kiosk and the cleaning of inside and outside windows; the parking lot; the picnic area; the red chairs and the pedestrian path; the universal access walkways; the external amphitheater and the stairways; the main building (except for the diving area and the garage).
• The Contractor will perform major maintenance on the grounds and facilities before the site opens at the beginning of the season.
• Site maintenance services include waste management.

Period of Contract: The contract period is from date of award of contract to March 31, 2020, with the possibility of exercising three one-year option periods under the same conditions.

Security Requirement: There is a security requirement associated with this bid solicitation.

Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.

Information:

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Parks Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
