Description: The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) requires building upgrades including two (2) furnace replacements; replace front counter secure barrier; replace lunch room millwork and rough in for dishwasher; convert one cell to a differently purposed room; upgrade sound attenuation on one room; upgrade fire resistance rating on one room; extensive lock hardware upgrades; cell block fixture upgrades; fire alarm, life safety and barrier free upgrades; add an exterior mast and pedestal for key switch access to bay door; repair foundation parging; add partition in basement to separate mechanical space into two; install 1500L catch basin into parking lot; scarify and resurface parking lot; upsize hose reel to 3/4" (local upsize only); mudjack selective sections of walkways; new data and power in one room (several ports each); supply and install new upholstered acoustic panels in one room; supply and install perforated metal acoustic panels in one room; remove and upgrade exterior light standards. The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by 17 June 2020.

This is a first phase (Phase one) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will pre-qualify bidders based on mandatory requirements as per the attached Request for Qualifications; second phase (Phase two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The list of pre-qualified bidders resulting from Phase One will be valid for a period of 60 days upon notification of meeting the mandatory requirements or upon award of contract in Phase Two whichever comes first.
