REQUIREMENT
The Contractor will provide for foot passenger ferry service between the Town of Sidney and the visitor dock at Sidney Spit in Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. The ferry service will operate between May 15 and September 30 each year of the contract. The transport of passengers via ferry will be an exclusive right for this location between May 15 and September 30 for each year of the contract (other operators will only be permitted to transport passengers to Sidney Spit outside of the Contractor’s scheduled sailings during this time). Parks Canada is seeking to offer a term contract of 3 years, with the option of 2 additional one year periods.
PERIOD OF CONTRACT
The period of the Contract is from date of Contract to September 30, 2022 inclusive.
OPTION TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one (1) year period(s) from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023 inclusive, and October 1, 2023 to September 2024 inclusive under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.
INFORMATION:
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
