REQUIREMENT
This project seeks to eliminate the infiltration of water into the Commemorative Church (St. Charles Memorial Church Museum) through the repointing of exterior masonry. In some areas, repairing mortar from the exterior face will not be sufficient. Localized stone removal and rebuilding will also be required. General masonry repairs will be undertaken to restore the stone/mortar bond and ensure that moisture infiltration into the wall is halted.
The work will include structural reinforcement of the two gable end north and south walls. In addition, efforts are also required to improve, repair, or replace eaves troughs, rainwater leaders and flashings; as well as remove and conserve the lunette window and south wall doors.
This project also aims to repair damage to site monuments. This will be done by replacing or resetting stone pads, and repointing distressed or missing mortar.
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 > $ 1,000,000 Taxes extra.
