Scope of Work:
The Sherbrooke Research and Development Center (CRDS) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAC), located at 2000, rue Collège in Sherbrooke, wishes to offer a "turnkey" contract to a general contractor for all of the work. below :
- Relocate, install and/or supply all labour and materials necessary to obtain a housing system for sows and gilts, as indicated in the drawings or as described hereafter.
- Supply and install feed bins and automatic feeding systems, as indicated in the drawings of the project. Gestating sow stalls shall be equipped with automated double feed dispensers.
- The equipment contractor shall supply and install feeding systems with controls as indicated in equipment installation drawings or as described hereafter.
Site Visit:
It is recommended that firms intending to submit a proposal for this project visit the work site. A site visit will be held on August 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM local time at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre (RDC), located at 2000 College Street in Sherbrooke. Participants to the visit will be requested to sign an attendance form. Participants shall present themselves ten minutes before the visit scheduled start time.

Please note that there will be a limit of one employee (general contractor) per bidder allowed during the visit, no subcontractors.
However, if necessary only, the subcontractors can make an appointment with the contact indicated above in order to visit the site. There will be a maximum of one visit per contractor.
Attendance to this visit is NOT MANDATORY but Firms that do not attend will not be given an alternative appointment, although they will not be precluded from submitting an offer. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation and will be posted on BuyandSell.gc.ca

Information requests and inquiries related to this tender process are to be directed, in writing, ONLY to the AAFC Contract Officer identified below. Bidders who contact anyone other than the AAFC Contract Officer to obtain such information during the solicitation period may, for that reason alone, be disqualified.
It is MANDATORY for the Firms intending to submit tenders on this project to obtain the related specifications, plans and drawings, and all other tender documents through the BuyandSell service provider’s platform.
