Saskatoon Research and Development Centre – Hot Water Heater Replacement

Sealed tenders will be received by the Senior Procurement Officer, AAFC until 2:00 p.m., local Regina time, Monday, October 26, 2020, for the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Saskatoon Research and Development Centre, Saskatoon, SK, Contract No. 47 – Hot Water Heater Replacement. The Saskatoon Research and Development Center’s (SRDC) main lab building (107 Science Place Saskatoon) consists of three wings; the Scientific Support Wing (Admin Wing), the Laboratory Wing (Lab Wing) and the Headerhouse Wing. Domestic hot water (DHW) for all three wings is generated by steam-heated hot-water heaters. The unit providing DHW for the Lab wing and the unit providing DHW for the headerhouse wing both need replacing. SRDC requires supply and install of two steam-heated hot water heaters for DHW distribution in the Lab Wing and the Headerhouse wing.

Non-mandatory Site Visit

There will be a non-mandatory site visit on October 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM CST. Interested bidders are to meet at the Saskatoon Research and Development Centre.

Please be advised that there will be a limit of one (1) representative per bidder attending the site visit. Bidders are requested to RSVP to the site contact, Steven Ambros, Facilities Manager, (306-385-9458 or steven.ambros@canada.ca) by October 13, 2020 at 12:00 PM CST. Should there be sufficient interest in site visit attendance, AAFC may assign time slots to bidders in an effort to maintain social distancing protocols.

In accordance with provincial health regulations, interested bidders must be symptom free, wear a face mask and disposable gloves and observe social distancing from others on site.
