This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, has a requirement for accommodations
and laundry service in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service of Canada(CSC), has a requirement for accommodations and laundry service in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. CSC Prairies Region, provides orientation training to all new Correctional
Officer Recruits in the Prairie Region. Correctional Officer Recruits are required to attend the Correctional
Training Program for twelve (12) weeks.
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) Learning and Development is planning two Correctional
Training Programs (CTP) for fiscal year 2020-2021 in the Prairie Region. Each CTP consists of a
maximum of 16 recruits who receive training over a duration of approximately three months. The number
of recruits may reduce, by an average of 16%, over the CTP delivery
Objectives: To provide guest rooms during the Correctional Training Program (CTP)
Up to 16 recruits during the period of November 16, 2020 to February 19, 2021; and
Up to 16 recruits during the period of February 8, 2021 to May 13, 2021.
Deliverables:
1. Hotel
a. Provide up to a maximum of 32 guest rooms in two different blocks ;
i. up to 16 recruits during the period of November 16, 2020 to February 19, 2021; and
ii. Up to 16 recruits during the period of February 8, 2021 to May 13, 2021.
b. Hotel must be within 20 km of the Correctional Learning and Development Centre located at 2309
Hanselman Place.
If the hotel is more than 1.5 km of CLDC, the hotel must provide transportation (shuttle) for the
recruits at the Contractor's expense Monday to Friday excluding holidays. The shuttle must
depart the hotel at 6:45 am and pick up at the Correctional Learning and Development Centre
located at 2309 Hanselman Place at 3:30 pm. The Project Authority and the Contractor must
agree to any changes in the schedule.
c. The Contractor must provide early check-in and late check-out as required to accommodate
travel times and/or changes. If not feasible, in lieu of early-in or late-check-out, the Contractor
must provide a luggage storage area on request
d. The Contractor must provide the rooms and laundry service on site, in the same facility and at a
single location;
e. Allow CSC a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours notice to release room requirements, as
necessary, should the CTP be cancelled and/or a recruit be unsuccessful throughout the training
program;
f. If a Covid-19 outbreak is declared within Saskatoon, Saskatchewan CSC has the right to cancel
room reservations without penalty.
g. In the event that one or more recruits are required by the Health Authority to self-isolate and
cannot travel home, the Contractor must provide accommodation to allow for up to 14 days of
self-isolation on site.
h. The Contractor must designate an on-site Point of Contact (POC), proficient in English to provide
customer service on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, seven (7) days per week.
i. Parking included in room rate
2. Guest Rooms:
At a minimum the guest rooms must include the following:
a. Single occupancy, minimum 15.4 square meters,
b. A double bed or larger, CSC will not accept a sofa bed or cot.
c. Desk or writing table appropriately lighted for study purposes;
d. A private full bathroom with, as a minimum, a toilet, sink and shower
e. Locking doors; Each person must have their own key
f. Free Wireless High-Speed Internet;
g. A television
h. A refrigerator
i. A microwave
j. A coffee maker
k. Free local calls;
l. An Iron & ironing board;
3. Cleaning Room Standards
a. The Contractor must ensure that:Rooms, including bathrooms, are cleaned daily
b. Beds are made daily
c. Hand towels, bath towels, washcloths and bath mats are changed when placed in the appropriate
area
d. Soap and shampoo are replenished when low
e. Linens are changed at least once a week
CSC reserves the right to inspect, throughout the duration of the contract, facilities and services provided
by the Contractor including the guest rooms.
Term of Contract: Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of November
16, 2020 to May 13, 2021 with the option to renew for one additional three month CTP training period.
