Description: This project involves but not limited to:
* Full construction services to existing 555 sq m. police building.
* Extensive renovations will occur in various locations throughout occupied building and includes:
− Various upgrade/replacement of security fixtures (toilets, grilles, light fixtures, doors, door hardware, etc.)
Refinishing of specialty paint and flooring in various locations.
Demolition and construction of new custom millwork with specialty finishes.
Renovation of large storage room into three (3) smaller operational support rooms, including concrete block work, new millwork, and plumbing fixtures.
Renovate existing room including millwork, specialty IT requirements, wall, ceiling, and floor finishes.
Various upgrades to existing wall constructions to meet STC and fire rating requirements.
Replace reception counter with new millwork, specialty glazing, and finishes.
Upgrade existing kitchenette millwork, plumbing fixtures, and finishes.
Replacement of furnace and air conditioner condensing unit.
Revise ductwork and exhaust systems throughout to suit new renovated areas.
Revise electrical systems to suit new renovated areas.
Replace fire alarm system devices throughout (fire alarm panel not included).
Provide electrical rough‐in for future security devices.
− Replace emergency lighting throughout building.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by 31 July 2021.
This is a first phase (Phase one) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will pre-qualify bidders based on mandatory requirements as per the attached Request for Qualifications; second phase (Phase two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The list of pre-qualified bidders resulting from Phase One will be valid for a period of 60 days upon notification of meeting the mandatory requirements or upon award of contract in Phase Two whichever comes first.
No further Request for Qualifications will be published for this solicitation.
