IT specialized services to support, maintain and improve the SAP STAR solution.

The Departmental Financial and Materiel System in place at both Canadian Heritage (PCH) and Parks Canada Agency (PCA) is the Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) known internally as STAR. SAP is a shared enterprise-wide system sanctioned by Treasury Board Secretariat for financial and materiel management within the Federal Government. The STAR solution has been in production since 1998 at PCH/PCA and is continuously improving. The future challenges for the solution are the hosting of new Canada Government Departments and its preparation for the transition to S/4HANA.

The objective is to secure resources that are fully versed in SAP best practices for various technologies such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager to support the maintenance and configuration of improvements to the actual SAP STAR solution, implement key Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes, S/4HANA roadmap, onboarding of new Departments, Agencies or crown corporations to the existing and future solution.

The resources will have to use SAP Activate methodology to analyze current business processes and practices, assess level of maturity, review enhancements to current solution, and recommend roadmap to S/4HANA. The resources will also have to analyze, plan and support possible onboarding of new hosts to the current or future solution.
