The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Department of National Defence (DND) requires a Multi-Gas Detector that will continuously measure the presence of oxygen, Heavy Volatile Organic Compound (HVOC), Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) gases and other hazardous gases in confined spaces that are known to exceed the safe concentrations identified in the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations under the Canada Labour Code. The MGD will be used by Firefighters, Lineman, Marine Technicians (MAR TECH), Construction Engineers, Fuel and Environment Technicians.
