Tenders for the Agriculture & Agri-Food (AAFC) Swift Current Research and Development Centre (SCRDC), Swift Current, SK, Contract No. 47 – Irrigation Pump Rehabilitation (Centre Farm) will be received by the Senior Procurement Officer, until 2:00 p.m. (CST), Thursday, July 22, 2021.
The “Centre Farm” pump house is located on the main campus of SCRDC and irrigation water is sourced from the Swift Current Main Canal (SCMC). The “Centre Farm” is currently irrigated from a 30-year-old pump station, which requires replacement.
The work generally consists of the Contractor disposing of the existing pump station and replacing it with a new pump station, including a new intake from the SCMC Canal. All work to occur at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre, Airport Road, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Non-Mandatory Site Visit
There will be a non-mandatory site visit on July 12, at 10:00 AM CST. Interested bidders are to meet at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre. Enter at Gate 2, follow the on-site road and meet at the canal on the north end of the property.
Please be advised that there will be a limit of two (2) representatives per bidder attending the site visit. Bidders are requested to RSVP to the AAFC Project Manager: Serena Ward (306-531-3135 or serena.ward@agr.gc.ca) by, July 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM CST. Should there be sufficient interest in site visit attendance, AAFC may assign time slots to bidders in an effort to maintain social distancing protocols.
In accordance with provincial health regulations, interested bidders must be symptom free, wear a face mask and disposable gloves and observe social distancing from others on site.

The only acceptable email address for responses to bid solicitations is aafc.wscprocurement-csoapprovisionnement.aac@agr.gc.ca. Bids submitted by email directly to the Contracting Authority or to any email address other than aafc.wscprocurement-csoapprovisionnement.aac@agr.gc.ca may not be accepted.
The maximum email file size that AAFC is capable of receiving is 15 megabytes. The Bidder is responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of the emailed bid due to file size. Emails with links to bid documents will not be accepted. Bid documents must be sent as email attachments.
Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid.
