    Scope of Work:

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) requires a Consulting Firm to conduct a wastewater audit, water system survey and cross connection control evaluation at eight of AAFC’s Research and Development Centers in Quebec. The study will be conducted to determine whether the facilities are in compliance with local municipal bylaws and applicable federal and provincial bylaws, regulations and guidelines. In addition, the cross connection control and water system survey must meet pertinent provincial and federal compliance regulations and guidelines such as the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality (GCDWQ), federal and provincial plumbing requirements, Canada Labour Code and National Plumbing Code CSA-B64.10-17. The wastewater survey must ensure that the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) Model Sewer Use Bylaw and municipal bylaws are met, along with any pertinent environmental regulations.

To accomplish this, a comprehensive inspection and evaluation of the potable water and wastewater system is required. Recommended actions will form the development of a strategy to address deficiencies found on a risk basis approach.

In addition to investigating the potable water and wastewater systems, AAFC wishes to study options for water conservation at the facilities.
