Work under this contract consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment, and materials for the construction of a Berlin Wall and shore protection installation at Structure 405, at the Petit-Shippagan public wharf, Gloucester County, N.B
In general, work under this contract consists of, but not be limited to, the following:
The supply, installation and maintenance of a debris containment curtain. The removal and disposal of the existing steel beam guide rail. The partial removal of the remains of the existing timber crib structure, as required to perform the new work. To be disposed of at an approved disposal site. The removal of in-situ fills inside and behind the existing structure. The removal of in-situ material in the harbour bottom. The temporary support and ground stabilization under the footing of the existing retaining wall. The construction of a Berlin Wall structure at Structure 405, which includes the supply and installation of H-Piles, precast concrete wall panels, cast-in-place cap beams, steel tie-rods and concrete anchor blocks. The supply, fabrication and installation of new wall panel support clips, steel channel water ties, and other metal fabricated items required in the new work. The supply and installation of filter fabric. The supply and installation of granular base, granular sub-base, granular backfill, dense stone fill (R5), core stone, filter stone and armour stone. The supply and installation of PT timber wheel guards. The removal, moving, stockpiling, and reinstallation of existing armour stone for use as slope protection on new approach embankment. All materials, equipment and labour as required to complete the work. All material removals, relocation work, reinstallation work, and patching to extent shown and as necessary to complete the work of this Contract. The appropriate disposal of all existing materials removed from the work and not designated to be reinstalled or salvaged by the Departmental Representative.
Contract includes mobilization and demobilization all equipment necessary to make work progress for the entire contract, including environmental controls and all associated items in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and condition of this contract.
Only items in the Unit Price Table will be measured for payment. All other work necessary to complete the Contract will be considered incidental to the project and will not be measured separately for payment.
Duration of contract: All work under this contract must be completed by June 15th, 2023
