This requirement is for Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
Title: Pendrell Sound Ghost Gear Clean-up
Objective:
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires the clean-up of abandoned subtidal aquaculture gear in Pendrell Sound, BC.
Scope of Work:
This project will clean-up, via commercial divers, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), a shoreline clean-up crew, and machinery the contractor deems necessary for the surveying and collection of gear remaining in the Pendrell Sound Rockfish Conservation Area, East Redonda Island, British Columbia.
This will require the Contractor to have their own vessels, a full dive team, a crew capable of surveying and cleaning intertidal shoreline, and appropriate ROV capacity. The contractor will also need experience working with service providers for the disposal and recycling of marine plastics and ghost fishing gear.
