The JC Wilt Infectious Diseases Research Centre (JCWIDRC) has a requirement for the supply and installation of eight (8) media sections (segments) which are part of an existing energy recovery wheel. This piece of equipment is a major heating and cooling component of the facility’s LAB 3 air system which supplies conditioned air to the south side of the facility. The energy recovery wheel is integral to maintaining the facility’s energy conservation as well as maintaining the facility’s LEED® Gold Status. Due to the failure of the energy recovery wheel media sections (segments), major stress is being placed on the facility’s auxiliary heating and cooling systems, risking the production of inadequate air supply for lab activities
