This Task Authorization based Contract is to address engineering requirements in support of R&D efforts. The generic nature of this Contract allows the development of R&D components, parts and processes which cannot be foreseen, because of the nature of force development activities, in advance of the normal contracting timelines and processes. A non-exhaustive list of example projects include: High-performance vehicle modification, custom electro-optical system design and manufacturing, integration and system engineering of COTS products, unique and reconfigurable weapons design and manufacturing, ballistics testing and recoil mitigation systems.
