Metals and Mining via CIQ Pro

Natural Resources Canada requires access to timely, accurate, and reliable asset, company, economic and financial data (e.g. mine site production, company corporate structure, commodity prices, stock market values, income statement and balance sheet information, and information on mergers and acquisitions, mine and exploration project information, global exploration spending) through an off-the-shelf data service. These data are required in order to monitor industry trends, including global exploration spending, model the effects of policies on the industry and individual firms and assets, and track and forecast commodity prices (among other activities). The data service will complement other sources used by NRCan (e.g. Statistics Canada), which focus primarily on historical macroeconomic and microeconomic data.
