The Department of National Defense (DND) operates a fleet of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) aircraft as well as chartering with commercial industry to provide airlift resources in support of operations. These flights are identified under the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) airline designator, “YF”. DND requires the capability to monitor flights throughout their various phases (programming, reservations, reconciliation, flight and/or execution, recovery and analysis), must include a passenger reservation system, and be in place at various locations across Canada.
