The RFI is to solicit industry opinions and feedback to explore potential options, refine the commercially available Space Situational Awareness Observations requirement, and understand the state of the market. Space Situational Awareness (SSA) is the knowledge of space orbital parameters and, as required, of any object in orbit around the Earth or entering Earth’s space domain. The subsequent RFSO is to establish a list of SSA data products available from Sensor-Owner's or Sensor-Operator’s active sensors and Constellation-Sensors. The SSA data products required are Space Object Tracking data such as Optical or RADAR spacecraft tracking data, and/or Space Object Identification (SOI) data products from the Offeror’s existing and fully operational sensor networks.
