The Department of National Defence has a requirement to develop an optimized In-Service Support (ISS) solution to effectively sustain the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) simulation and training devices (TD) which include the CP140, CC130H, and CH146 fleets. The sustainment would keep the devices in alignment with the aircraft platform configuration and maintain the training devices’ hardware and software components in good repair, in order to avoid interruption of training services, while ensuring an optimal combination of Performance, Value for Money, Flexibility and Economic Benefits. Estimated Life Expectancy of TD’s corresponding aircraft fleets: The intent of MFTD is to support the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to match the operational life of their parent aircraft, achieve and maintain a certain level of Operational Airworthiness Approval. It is Canada’s intent to award one non-competitive contracts to CAE Inc. for the In-Service Support.
