    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), commonly known as Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Real Property Branch requires a qualified contractor to perform rehabilitation works at the Kingston Mills Locks. The Work must be completed by the Thursday before the Victoria Day weekend of May 2025. The Kingston Mills Locks 46 to 49 are part of the 202 km long Rideau Canal waterway system between Kingston and Ottawa. The Rideau Canal is a designated National Historic Site of Canada and inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. The primary objective is a masonry rehabilitation of the Kingston Mills Locks following the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada to improve the condition of the Locks 46 - 49 while protecting their heritage values and character-defining elements to the extent possible and promoting visitor experience.
