The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires the vendor to collect ground truth data using a variety of scientific methods to support a supervised classification of coastal habitat in Pistolet Bay, NL. Data collection and surveys will be conducted using drop cameras, core samples, and drone footage (if weather permits ) based on a survey plan developed by DFO. Additionally, this ground truth information will be incorporated into a supervised classification of Pistolet Bay habitat and build on previous work with a consistent approach. The period of this contract is from date of award to February 29, 2024.
