    The Statement of Work (SOW) is to acquire a vessel and crew to support monitoring and establishing marine protected areas or marine refuges in the Northern Labrador Sea. The work involves tagging Arctic char, equipment maintenance and management, eDNA sampling using a CTD-rosette, receiver maintenance, and extensive deep-sea (>1000m) camera surveys which will be conducted from August to November 30th 2023. This involves the use of both small boats in coastal areas to larger fishing vessels equipped with a suitable winch and hauler in offshore areas. The work should be facilitated by the incorporation of traditional and/or local knowledge. Priority will be given to Indigenous applicants with demonstrated experience on the land/water and familiarity with equipment and procedures required to carry out drop camera surveys, baited camera deployments, and the operation of a CTD-rosette.
