Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of the Department of National Defence, has a requirement for food and accommodation services for the Ceremonial Guard (CG), from approximately May 1 to August 31 of each year, with additional rooms and meals required from approximately July 12 to 29 of each year. The requirement includes a need for single- or double- occupancy rooms for 400-600 persons (including bed, linen, bathroom and showers), associated supplies, meal preparation services, laundry services, meeting rooms, offices, band practice space, and fitness facilities. The location for this requirement must be within 25 kilometers of Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1P 0A9, measured in road distance. It is anticipated that the contract period will be from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2027, and will include an irrevocable option to extend the contract by two additional one-year periods.
The CG is a Canadian Army task that operates under the delegated command of 4th Canadian Division//33 Canadian Brigade Group. The CG is a Canadian Armed Forces unit of variable strength typically formed as two Foot Guard companies, a headquarters company, the Regimental Band and the Pipes and Drums. The CG is composed of Regular and Reserve Force personnel from across Canada.
