    Contract details
    This contract was awarded to:
Brandy E. George Cultural Research Inc.
The Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) is compulsory for contractors and their on-site employees prior to any intrusive work being done on the Former Camp Ipperwash/Stony Point lands. Background research, and previous investigations from 2006 to 2017 confirmed the existence of many cultural resources and a high potential for the discovery of additional cultural resources during any planned Clearance activities. The training is required by the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point as part of the conditions each contractor must meet before doing intrusive work at Stony Point First Nations. The purpose of the program is to ensure that contractors and their employees working on the Former Camp Ipperwash/Stony Point lands have an understanding of the history and culture of the First Nation and the importance of the land base.
