This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The qualification list will expire within 60 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. In general, Work under this contract consist of:

.1 The design and construction of a new 21.34m (70ft) self-supporting

light tower at Seal Island Nova Scotia.

.2 The Contractor is responsible for the design, fabrication,

transportation, erection, installation, and commissioning of the

tower and accessories outlined in the specification.

.3 The Contractor is responsible for the design, construction, and

transportation of materials of the required concrete foundation of

the tower.

.4 The Contractor is responsible for the installation of fencing

around the perimeter of the existing lighthouse (6 ft chain link).

Site of Work is at: Seal Island, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
