Description
PROJECT OVERVIEW The Dickson Dam facility is an asset within the Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch (WIOB) of Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation (AGI). This facility is an extreme consequence dam located 27 km west of Innisfail on the Red Deer River. It provides an assured water supply to various downstream users and municipalities, and has many secondary benefits such as flood attenuation, recreation, and improved water quality. Other facilities included are the Gull Lake, Buffalo Lake, and St. Paul Pump House systems which are primarily for lake stabilization, with resultant benefits being water supply for municipalities, wetland habitat creation, and back-flooding some agricultural areas for improved crop production. WIOB is mandated to operate and maintain provincially owned water management infrastructure. This RFP outlines the service requirements for the Central Operations Building Maintenance and Small Project Services proposal. Various buildings/structures in our region require ongoing improvements and maintenance to bring and sustain these facilities to a standard indicative of a government facility. Required maintenance activities are described in appendix “B” within this document. This competitive procurement process will be conducted in accordance with one fundamental objective: to maximize the benefit to the Province while offering Proponents a fair and equitable opportunity to participate.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 35 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/04/19.
