City of Lethbridge - Invitation to Bid - Whoop-Up Dr/Scenic Dr Interchange Detailed Design & Construction Services

The objective of this request for quotations (RFQ) is to select the most qualified consultant team based on their available team of professionals to provide the required detailed design (for the roadway and utilities) and construction services for the following: Undertake detailed design and construction supervision of the new lane configuration (two additional lanes of travel) approved in the 2020 Scenic Drive Preliminary Design on Scenic Drive South. Next add additional westbound lane (second) to the Whoop-Up Drive westbound merge lane for approximately ±1800 metres of roadway from intersection of 3 Avenue South to the merge lane on Whoop-Up Drive. a) Perform detailed design for the construction of Whoop-Up Drive and Scenic Drive South: • Widen Scenic Drive to three northbound lanes and three southbound lanes. • Provide additional lane on southbound to westbound ramp. • Provide support for multiple land acquisitions on project limits. • Perform detailed design for the construction of the Whoop-Up Drive under Scenic Drive bridge pier barrier upgrade. • Six new variable permanent variable message board signage on Whoop-Up Corridor b) Provide contract/construction administration and engineering services during construction of all roadway improvements.
