City of Calgary - Invitation to Bid - Ward 9 Mobility Enhancements and Connections

1.This SOR is open to pre-qualified firms only. Proponents are invited who have been pre-qualified based on specific information previously submitted through The City’s RFSO 22-2004. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that were awarded under RFSO 22-2004. 2.The City is looking for a prime consultant that will facilitate the Ward 9 Connections project. It is a part of the Calgary’s Pathway and Bikeway (5A) Network program. The project consists of several streets that touch many neighbourhoods in Ward 9 in the East side of Calgary. The project streets and their limits (if applicable) are as follows: • 8 Avenue SE between 36 Street and Penbrook Dr SE • 36 Street between 50 Ave SE and Memorial Drive • Penbrook Dr SE • Madigan Dr NE The project goals are to improve the safety and accessibility of the transportation infrastructure for people walking, wheeling, taking transit or driving. 3.This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. Estimated target end date is March 2025.
