Olds College - Notice of Planned Procurement - Livestock Feed & Bedding 2024/25

Olds College is proceeding with the following procurement: Notice of Proposed Procurement is hereby given by Olds College of Agriculture and Technology (“Olds College” or “the College”) of its intent to buy commodities and services for livestock feed and bedding from Bayden Hamilton and Ryan Miller. This procurement is estimated to be $288,500 in value and the details are disclosed on Appendix A below. It is expected that this inventory will cover the feed and bedding needs of the Smart Farm for the College fiscal year, July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. It is the intent of Olds College to award this procurement for the following reasons: These vendors have demonstrated the willingness and capability to meet Olds College Smart Farm’s requirements as follows: Off-site storage Delivery schedule and short notice timelines Provides machinery for unloading into hay sheds Service quality proven Demonstration of quality product and adequate nutrition to fit different animal types from previous hay supply Hay and straw composition needs are met, and verified by third party analysis Bale configurations and quantities Competitive Pricing is inclusive of storage and delivery For consideration, any party that wishes to object to this proposed procurement action must contact Olds College Purchasing Department by email at purchasing@oldscollege.ca, by the closing date and time of Tuesday, August 6, 2024 before 14:00:00 MT. Vendor’s communication must include specific information relating to Olds College - Smart Farm requirements as listed above, with proven experience and capability to offer a cost effective, equivalent products and services that would meet or exceed the solution provided by Bayden Hamilton and Ryan Miller. Olds College reserves the right to determine the relevance of any communication received and accept or reject the communication as deemed in the best interest of the College. The decision to accept or reject will be based on the College’s determination of the vendor’s statement of capabilities successfully meeting or exceeding the requirements.
