Tender Stage Open Funding Public Procurement Type Request for Tender Classification Type (Cl: ICI - Supply/Service/Maintenance, Renovation Owner Type College/University Scope of Work Work under this contract covers the Facility Renovation for the development of the Southern Alberta Collegiate Institute with the existing Lethbridge College Barn facility on the Main College Campus in Lethbridge, as described in the Invitation to Tender, Specification Section 00 00 03. Where the term "General Contractor" is used in the specifications, it shall mean Construction Manager. Where the term "Contractor" is used in the specifications it shall refer to the Construction Manager and/or his Trade Contractors. The Construction Manager shall determine the scope of each Trade Contractor's work and shall be responsible for the overall project. Where the term "Subcontractor" is used in the specifications, it shall mean Trade Contractor to the Qwner or Construction Manager. Where the term "Contractor" is used in the specifications, it shall mean either Trade Contractor or Construction Manager or both, as applicable to each situation. Where the term "Trade Contractor" is used in the specifications, it shall mean the Trade Contractor and/or his Subcontractors. Work included under this contract witl consist of the supply of all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, design (where indicated in the contract documents), permits, fees, inspection and testing necessary to provide a first class facility suitable for the intended use. These Construction Documents were prepared by the Consultant in conjunction with the Construction Manager. Any use which a third party makes of the Construction Documents, or any reliance on or decisions to be made based on them, are the responsibility of such third parties. The Consultant accepts no responsibility for damages, suffered by any third party as a result of decisions made or actions based on the Contract Documents. Contract documents are generally diagrammatic and only approximately to scale unless detailed otherwise. They establish scope, material and installation quality and are not detailed installation instructions showing every difficulty to be encountered during the execution of work, and should not be used as an excuse for any deficiencies or omissions. Use figured dimensions only, and do not scale off drawings. Contractor is to verify all dimensions on site prior to commencement. Specifications are written in the Imperative mood, in an abbreviated form. The imperative language of the technical sections is directed to the Trade Contractor & Construction Manager, unless specifically noted otherwise. This form of statement requires the both the Trade Contractor & Construction Manager to perform such action or Work. Perform alt requirements whether stated imperatively or otherwise.
