The Kananaskis Village Hockey Rink is a beloved park asset located adjacent to three hotels that form in part, the Kananaskis Village. The Village is the hub of commercial activity in the valley and welcomes local, national, and international visitors year-round. The area sees high visitation with the rink being one of two ice surfaces provided for guests to enjoy the winter experience of the valley. The hockey rink is a permanent outdoor uncovered hockey rink that was last refurbished in 2005. Due to use and the elements, the hockey boards are broken and no longer safe for use.
This project will refurbish the current facility so that it can be safely used by the public. Work to be done includes, but is not limited to, replacement of boards, replacement of puck retention system, refurbishment of standpipe and curbstop, and installation of a wood deck/walking surface. Construction of the boards will mirror the existing structure.

Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 3 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/10/23.
