The Xenopus Housing System must be compatible with the current housing systems that are currently in HSLAS (Tecniplast Housing Systems). • Tecniplast xenopus systems are only compatible with the same housing systems from Tecniplast • To allow for rotational cleaning and sterilization of tanks, racks and towers, the same systems need to be used in HSLAS • Storage and inventory of parts and supplies is limited and requires an interchangeability of supplies and parts • Training of staff and repair/maintenance personnel is significantly more cost effective and efficient with one system and vendor Due to operational, budgetary and space management issues, Tecniplast is the only vendor able to meet the department’s requirements.
