Description
The University is looking at purchasing a benchtop magnetic resonance (MR) system to characterize the
amount and state of water in soil and mine waste tailings samples that will benefit the University’s research
programs. By analyzing various stages of soil thawing process, the system will allow it’s users to extend
laboratory testing capabilities for non-destructive measurements on samples for unfrozen water content at
various sample temperatures, densities, saturation, and compositions.
