Northern Lakes College is a post-secondary institution with multiple campuses across Northern Alberta. To enhance campus security and operational efficiency, we are seeking quotations for the supply of hardware necessary for an intelligent keying system upgrade. This system will be implemented to manage access control effectively and securely while accommodating the needs of students, faculty, and staff.
The primary goal is to procure hardware components for an intelligent keying system that:
o Provides high-security access control across all campuses.
o Allows for user and door lock audit trail
o Able to be deactivated in the event of lost or stolen keys.
o User credentials that expire in a determine window of time with flexible revalidation of key credentials.
o Offline update of key credentials at local programming device.
o Single key that can be uniquely configured to one or as many doors as required.
o Key and lock function to operate regardless of power state.
o Capable to update credentials on key remotely and possible by app on user’s cell phone.
o Capable to operating at temperatures from +50c to -40c
o Integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
o Allows centralized and remote administration.
o Ensures scalability for future expansions.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 36 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/02/12.
