    Description
    The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River (MDLSR) is responsible for approximately 52 various bridge structures within its boundaries. Along with the routine BIM Level 1 inspection and BIMS reporting of the bridge inventory, MDLSR is also interested in additional support in reporting, tracking and communicating and/or organizing maintenance and repairs as needed. Details on bridge inventory and inspection cycle can be found in Attachment #1. Scope of the Services: MDLSR is seeking an Alberta certified bridge inspector to organize/program, schedule, and inspect (BIM Level 1) the various bridges within MDLSR. The following work also applies: • Reporting of the inspections to MDLSR and entry into BIMS • Responding to inquiries from MDLSR or the ATEC Bridge Manager • Liaising with MDLSR’s representative on inspection findings and upcoming inspections • Reporting to MDLSR any repairs that need to be scheduled immediately and recommendations on any interim measures such as BIM Level 2 inspection, closures, weight restrictions etc. • Upkeep and management of the existing MDLSR master list (or in another mutually agreeable form) and reporting of completed bridge inspections • Provide assistance in preparing and coordinating work assignments/orders and supervision/inspection (as needed) of bridge maintenance and repair activities completed by the public works department or via contractor forces • Provide an updated asset management plan/list for major repairs/replacements to assist in budget planning • Provide assistance in preparing funding applications for bridge replacements and liaising with MDLSR’s and ATEC’s representatives • Providing support/input to MDLSR on replacement bridge designs by others • Additional misc. support services • The work will take place at various bridge locations throughout the Municipal District

    The estimated contract period will be 33 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/03/17.
