Westwinds Communities - Request for Proposal - Project Management Services for Westwinds D'Arcy Affordable Housing Development

Westwinds Communities is requesting proposals from qualified project management firms, to provide project management services for the Westwinds D’Arcy Affordable Housing Development. Westwinds Communities (Westwinds) is an innovative not-for-profit organization that provides accommodation and support services to low and moderate income seniors, individuals and families within the Foothills Region of Alberta. Westwinds is the largest provider of subsidized and affordable rental housing for families and individuals living within Foothills County; a key provider of affordable senior’s retirement residence and independent living within Foothills County; and the sole operator of the rent supplement program for those living in Foothills County and surrounding area. Westwinds Communities in partnership with the Town of Okotoks has secured serviced land on the NE corner of the D’Arcy subdivision (located in NW Okotoks). The site has been subdivided into three parcels, two of which Westwinds Communities owns as part of a Bare Land Condominium. Westwinds is planning the construction of the west site, Unit 2 - 10 units, 0.31 acres. Westwinds is currently obtaining development and building permits to develop Site 2 as a ten unit three storey wood frame stacked townhouse design representing a combination of one, two, and three bedroom townhouse units. The project will require funding approval from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporate (CMHC) prior to proceeding.
