City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - RFP 24-1641 Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Consulting Services at Multiple Downtown Sites

Detail of the RFP can be found here: https://discovery.ariba.com/rfx/22497228 In 2024, The Downtown Safety Leadership Table brought together a group of downtown leaders who identified 28 recommendations to enhance safety and vibrancy in Calgary’s downtown. The City of Calgary is seeking a consulting firm to implement these recommendations. This requisition will fully deliver on Recommendation 2 and partially on Recommendation 11, specifically: Recommendation 2: Deliver crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) studies of high-risk downtown hotspots. Recommendation 11: Audit existing downtown HELP buttons to identify opportunities to improve or expand use. With the goal of City staff developing an informed and costed implementation plan to address the above noted recommendations, The City is seeking a single consultant team to complete the following anticipated phases of work: Phase 1: Confirmation of Project Methodology and Plan Phase 2: Review of Existing CPTED Reports & Safety Audit/Assessments Phase 3: CPTED Opportunities Assessments at Downtown Hotspots Phase 4: Presentation of Initial Opportunities Phase 5: Participation in Targeted Community Engagement Phase 6: Prioritization of Initial Opportunities Phase 7: Costing and Concept Design of Prioritized Opportunities Phase 8: Additional Assessments Phase 9: Final Presentation Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement Letter, the award under this RFP will be for all Phases of the Requirements, subject to approval by The Project Team after each Phase.
