Alberta Electric System Operator - Request for Proposal - Organizational Change Strategist

The AESO is seeking a senior organizational change strategist consultant for a period of approximately two years to lead and manage the AESO’s Change Strategy, Leadership, and Management efforts for the comprehensive transformation of the energy market and other elements of the electrical sector in Alberta (the "Services"). This engagement will ensure that the AESO’s internal leaders, teams, and stakeholders are well-prepared for the transition by developing and implementing a strategic and structured approach to managing change, fostering leadership development, and mitigating potential impacts. The Services may include, but are not limited to, the following: - develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy tailored to AESO’s transformation - ensure alignment with AESO’s strategic goals and objectives - identify key internal and external stakeholders and develop an engagement plan - create and manage communication pathways to keep stakeholders informed and engaged - ensure all stakeholders understand and are prepared for the changes - identify opportunities to strengthen Change Leadership competencies across AESO - serve as a thought partner for senior leadership and project teams - conduct thorough change impact assessments across business areas - ensure skills, processes and resources are planned and in place when required - develop and execute mitigation plans to address risks and challenges - establish metrics and KPIs to track the progress and effectiveness of change initiatives - continuously assess and adapt the change management approach as needed - work closely with project leaders to understand scope, dependencies, and required adjustments - support project teams with change management planning and execution
