Alberta Energy Regulator - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - 25NPP-SR004 Amphibious Aircraft Support on Small Lakes in Northeastern Alberta

Subject to this NPP, The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) intends to enter into an agreement with ‘Reliance Airways Ltd.’ The AER deems ‘Reliance Airways Ltd.’ the only qualified candidate to fulfil the amphibious aircraft support on small lakes in northeastern Alberta due to the pilot’s extensive knowledge of the lakes in our area of interest in northeastern Alberta, having provided similar services to scientists and outdoor enthusiasts for more than 27 years (>3000 hours fight time in the area with a perfect safety record), combined with the company’s strategic fuel caches in the region. These qualifications provide the AER staff with the highest probability of safe, seamless, and timely flights to support fieldwork in northeastern Alberta. This contract will be for 1 year (until March 31, 2026) with the option to renew for another two, single year terms.
