Calgary Economic Development Ltd. - Request for Proposal - Enterprise Technology Sector Study

Calgary Economic Development (CED) is seeking a partner to conduct an Enterprise Technology Sector Study research study that will inform future decisions from CED and partners to support the future needs and workplan needed for the development of the sector. We invite qualified firms to submit a proposal, and the selected consultant is expected to provide: • Key drivers and trends, growth projections and a SWOT analysis of Calgary’s key subsectors; • Jurisdictional analysis of select tech hubs of interest that Calgary can learn from; • A mapping of venture capital investment activity into Calgary/Alberta and into sectors of focus for Calgary; • Skills and talent pool gap analysis of current and future demand in Calgary; • Recommendations on areas of focus for Calgary in building out its tech sector. CED works collaboratively with business, government, and community partners to position Calgary as the ideal location for business attraction, investment, and innovation. It is imperative that Calgary continues to build intelligence that will identify how we enable sector growth.
