City of Beaumont - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Supply of Water Meters and Water Metering Software

The City plans to award a supply contract to Accu-Flo Meter Service Ltd. for the period from May 30, 2025, to January 31, 2029, to maintain service continuity for water meters. The City has standardized the use of Neptune water metres, which are fully integrated into the City's utility infrastructure. Accu-Flo Meter is the authorized distributor for Neptune products in Alberta. The water meters currently in use are fully compatible with Neptune’s proprietary software platform, which is essential for data collection, analysis, and utility billing processes. Procuring other water meters could lead to compatibility issues, disruption to ongoing operations and utility billing services and would require significant cost investment to replace existing meters and related software.
