Description
The Town of Smoky Lake is inviting proposals for the development of an 18,060 sq. ft. parcel of land within the town. This property is available for sale through a publicly advertised Request for Proposal process. The selected proponent will be required to develop the land with a minimum of four (4) housing units.
As part of the Housing Accelerator Fund Grant, the Town will give the land (assessment value $49,800) to the successful proponent and waive utility connection fees ($7,500 per connection for water, sewer, and gas). In return, the proponent must agree to rent or sell the units in accordance with the Town’s Affordable Housing Policy D-05-2024

• Land area = 18,060 Sq. feet (Approximately 129’ x 140’)
• Water/Sewer lines run adjacent to the property
• Gas line runs onto the property

The estimated contract period will be 27 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/09/08.
