his Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Town of Cochrane (“the Town”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Municipal Consulting Services RFP, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars(Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Ideally located between the city of Calgary and the Rocky Mountains, Cochrane is a community of choice. For the past number of years, we have been one of the fastest growing communities not just in Alberta, but also within Canada. And our future growth looks just as promising. With a population just shy of 40,000, Cochrane’s growth brings many exciting opportunities, but it brings challenges too. As we plan for and adapt to growth, we are working to ensure essential community infrastructure and master plans are in place to establish that we continue to be a community of choice for decades to come. The complexities of managing urban growth, improving infrastructure, and ensuring the well-being of our residents require a strong partnership. Recently, Cochrane Council has adopted a number of strategic guiding documents that pave the path for how our community will intentionally evolve in years to come, including: Growth Strategy, Envision Cochrane 2050 (Cochrane’s updated Municipal Development Plan), 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, as well as the 2025 update to the 10-year capital plan.
