City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - 25-1616 Calgary Transit Vending Machine Supply, Maintenance and Operations

1. This RFP is open to all interested vendors. 2. Calgary Transit is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide vending services at Calgary Transit locations throughout the City of Calgary. Calgary Transit is seeking to establish a contract for the installation, operation, inventory servicing, maintenance and management of vending machines for (1) food, beverage, and perishable Goods; (2) Hard Goods and Merchandise; and (3) Portable Charging Devices and Electronics. These machines will have the capability to accept payment by debit, credit, mobile payment or through a vendor app. Preference will be given to contractors offering a contactless payment system. Award of this contract will be made to the PCI and PIN-Security compliant Provider that meets the qualification and experience requirements; has a certifiable track record of managing and operating vending machines and submits an offer that is advantageous to Calgary Transit, staff, customers and the public using the machines. 3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. The Agreement(s) will be for an initial Term of three (3) years. The Agreement(s) may be renewed, four (4) times for one (1) year each time, not to exceed seven (7) years in total.
